April is Month of the Military Child
To celebrate our military students we had a mural painted in our library. April is Month of the Military Child; it was created in 1986. The Pentagon and other military support organizations use this month to recognize military children who face many challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents’ service. Because purple is a color used to represent all military services, the theme “Purple Up” is used over the course of the month. Our students' strength and resiliency are an inspiration to us all.
