Celebrating Students at MLMS

At Medical Lake Middle School, we believe in recognizing and celebrating students who demonstrate positive character and academic success. As a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) school, we promote a safe and supportive environment through our incREDible motto—Responsibility, Excellence, and Determination.

Incredible Students of the Month

IncREDible Student of the Month- Each teacher will nominate one student each quarter who demonstrates our IncREDible expectations of Responsibility, Excellence, and Determination (RED).

Students will be recognized through: Morning announcements, Their picture displayed on school TVs and A Root Beer Float celebration
Each quarter, we will also hold an evening recognition ceremony to celebrate all IncREDible Students of the Month and PACE award recipients with their families.

Incredible Rewards

Students can earn Critter Coin by showing Responsibility, Excellence, and Determination throughout the school day.

These digital slips can be used at the Cougar Store to purchase items like fidgets, treats, popcorn, and spirit gear.

Each month, students who meet the incREDible reward criteria get to attend a fun incentive event such as recess, bingo, or a movie.
To qualify, students must have:

No more than 2 tardies
No behavior consequences
A grade of 2 or better in all classes

Students who do not meet the criteria will stay in advisory to set goals for the next month. These expectations are modeled and shared by our ASB student leaders to encourage a positive school culture.
