My name is Carey Schwarzer and I will be your child’s 8th grade math teacher. I teach 8th grade math, and Algebra 1. I grew up in Newport, WA, studied mathematics at the University of San Francisco, and played basketball for the USF Dons and professionally in Germany for the BC Wolfenbuettel Wildcats. Before moving back from Germany, I also taught 3 years at the CJD International School Braunschweig-Wolfsburg. I moved back to the area with my husband Thomas in 2010, and this will be my 14th year teaching at the Medical Lake Middle School. I am looking forward to getting back to school and working with your children. Thomas and I have two children of our own who attend Hallett Elementary and the middle school. We enjoy living in a small town and are excited to raise our family in Medical Lake.
