For Lunch: - Spicy Spaghetti in a Meaty Marinara Sauce, Salad and Fruit Cocktail
Two separate lines: one for the main lunch and one for all the other lunch alternative choices.
Students may purchase a la cart items at lunch. You must have money in your account. No charging will be allowed on a la cart items. Please remember no lunch money will be accepted in the lunch line. Lunch money must be turned into the office before 10:30 a.m.
Remember all students participating in after school activities must pay the ASB fee of $15.
There are many summer programs being offered. Students interested in cross country, volleyball, soccer, football, theater and basketball. Please check the office for registration forms.
Washington Boaters Safety Course is being offered for free at the High School Auditorium May 30 and 31 from 6 until 9 p.m. It's for kids 12 and older. You must attend both classes to pass the course. Additional information is in the office.
Soccer camp for boys and girls grades 7 to 12 is being offered from June 11 through June 15 from 3:00 until 5:00 at the High School Soccer Field. Fee is $20 payable to MLHS. Registration forms are in the office but need to be turned into the High School office.
Boys and Girls interested in Cross Country summer conditioning: there is a summer program permission form in the office. The program runs June through August.
Volleyball Camp for grades 2 through 8 is being offered June 12 to June 14 from 3:00 until 5:00 in the High School main gym. Fee is $20 and the registration forms are in the office. Both need to be turned in to the high school office.
8th grade Silverwood field trip is on Friday, June 8 with buses leaving at 9:30 a.m. and returning at 6:30 p.m. Permission form and $15 must be turned in to the office by Thursday, June 7. Please be aware that students must have 20 or more points in Responsibility and Respect. Also, students that receive in-school or out-of-school suspension for any reason during this time will not be allowed to go.
8th grade Promotion Ceremony and Dance is Monday, June 11. The ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the dance will follow at 7:00 p.m. Siblings and extended family are welcome to attend the Ceremony but the dance is for the graduating 8th graders and their parents. Students must be accompanied by an adult to attend the dance.
Activity buses are only available to students who are part of an after school activity.
Now that the weather is warming up, please remember the dress code. Shorts and skirts must be to mid thigh.
West Plains Youth Football is being offered for 6th graders. Registration is now open and forms are in the office or check with Mr. Houn.
Attention all bicycle riders: this is a reminder to walk your bike off of campus. We would also like you to walk it to Lake Street rather than walking through the congestion of students waiting for buses.
Students that have ice packs in your locker, please return them to the office.
Remember students: no backpacks, bags or purses are allowed in the classroom. You must store all items in your locker.
Attention Students: Students are not allowed to be in the hallways at lunch time. You must bring your coats and anything else you need for that time. Lunch boxes are to be left in the cafeteria. You will not be allowed to go to your locker. Students observed in the hallways during lunch without permission will be issued a lunch detention. Please see Mr. Cruger, Mrs. Campbell or Mr. Koch during lunch if you need to leave the cafeteria.
Student drop off is in front of the building. Students are NOT to be dropped off in the bus loop. It is for buses only.
Students are not to ride skateboards, long boards or scooters to school. They are not allowed on school campus.
Students please remember you are not allowed in the building before 7:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 on Friday because there is no adult supervision. The doors will be locked and you will have to wait outside until then.
If you are tardy 3 or more times, there will be consequences. Consequences for multiple tardies (3 or more) may include a letter home, lunch detention or after school detention.
